When trying a wireless update on my BB 9550, I get this message: "Requesting new updates has been disabled by your administrator." This isn't on BES so is there a way to fix this?

You need to connect your computer to a desktop with Blackberry Desktop Manager running and the latest update downloaded and installed on it. Then, you should be able to complete the installation process.
