XLTE on Z10

Checking XLTE availability, seems Q10 and Z30 for BlackBerry are both compatible,

but not the Z10. We need an upgrade to make XLTE work?

@DickLewis,

I definitely understand you wanting to take advantage of XLTE!

Most of the 4G LTE devices that we have introduced this year currently on our network are taking advantage of the added capacity AWS provides. In addition, we are also pushing software to XLTE-capable devices that are already in the market, but not yet programmed to access AWS spectrum.

So the BlackBerry Z10 users can look forward to a software update soon?

Thanks.

Still waiting oh so patiently for update so Z10 is compatible with XLTE.

68 going on 113, don't have a lot of time to wait.

You may have a problem waiting for XLTE for the Z10.  Over on Crackberry there is an article by Simon Sage written on May 19, 2014 about the compatibility of Blackberry devices with the Verizon XLTE.  If you scroll down to the discussion area there is a lot of conversation about the Z10 not being compatible.  According to one of the posters who seems to know what he is talking about the Verizon version of the Z10 (STL100-4)  was built without the hardware band to accommodate the XGLE frequency.

Here is the link to the article if the moderators don't delete it :

So the reply from JohnW_VZW was just a lot of double speak and a big smoke screen.

Could have stated that the Z10 was incompatible with XLTE, instead of such a poopy generic reply.

PHBBTTTT! Pure BS.

Would appreciate a reply from VZW Support. Does the Z10 STL 100-4 for Verizon actually have inferior hardware compared to the STL 100-2/3 as mentioned in a reply? Will our Z10 get XLTE or not?

Thanks.
