Am in Burkina Faso west afirca and apparently Verrizon Wireless global blackbery serives does not work here which is stange as i believe that Vodaphone (throught its relationship with MTC) is a part owner of the 3G provider here Has anyone else eperienced this problem and does anyone know when Verizon thorugh Vodaphone may resoelve this issue. is this also a prolbem with other countires in West Africa. A business associate of mine with a blackberry AT&T phone was able to download emails.
There is definitely Blackberry data services available in Burkina Faso, but only if you have a global device. You would need a Blackberry 8830, Storm or Tour. Also, you need to have activated your SIM card and set up the global email plan before leaving. Maybe these are steps you missed.
