deleted pics showing up on my tour

when i go to look at my pictures I can see all the old deleted pics not as pictures but as a file that is read only and can't delete on my phone.

I can't see these files on the desktop media mgr. software.

How do I get rid of these??

Have you tried enabling Mass Storage mode and browsing the folders that way for these files? If you can locate the files in your pictures folder this way you may be able to delete them via your computer vs via the device.
