dropped "blackberry storm" last night and the screen is now black (i've taken the battery out multiple times). will more than likely have to get a new phone, but how can i retrieve text messages onto new phone? can the people at verizon do it? can i download them to my computer? the store doesn't open for 2 and half hours. thank you! :smileyhappy:

Doing a backup with Desktop manager will save the text messages when you restore it to a new phone.  You can do this under the device switch option.
