I tried to redo all the apps I lost when my phone had a breakdown . When I try to download mobile banking (BOA) , which is free, I am asked for a blackberry email password. I registered and now it wants my paypal info? I don't remember this when I setup originally. Why is it asking for payment info for a free app? This is the most frustrating phone!
Hi,
Make sure you have the latest version of Blackberry App World, which is 2.0.1.12. You will be asked to set up a Blackberry ID, if you have not made one as of yet. From there, you can set up a credit card, Paypal, or Debit card. It is secure and it is stored in case you buy an app. You still have to have a BB ID in order to download free apps. All of the application storefronts like App World and even Apple's iTunes require you to register. Hope this helps,

I downloaded a free app this past weekend and I didn't think I had to provide Pay Pal info. I just left it blank and continued.
