Is the phone activated and working on your Verizon account?
I'm not clear on which server you are unable to connect to - Verizon's network, or your email carrier network? What type of an email account is it you are trying to set up?

You have to make sure Verizon adds the BIS data plan to our account. The newer BB10 devices don't use the BIS plan anymore, but legacy BlackBerrys still MUST have it.

I rely on my email daily Dubber17254, so I know how important it is to ensure you are able to set it up on your phone. When did you start experiencing issues with email? What type of email are you trying to set up on your phone (personal or business)? Have you ever been able to use email on this device before?
