Ran good but buggy on 4.7. I cannot get it to run at all on 5.0. Hopefully when final comes out it will run. It is twice as fast (or more) than the current BlackBerry Browser.
On a similar note Foxfire is creating a mobile browser that is in private beta.

Yes tried twice with the same result. It installs and when I try to run it I only get a blank screen and freezes up. Tried the compatibility mode changes and still nothing. Using Blackberry brower for now.
Give it a try, some are reporting it works for them. All phones are different. Good luck.

I am running Opera Mini 5 beta on my Tour with 5.0, and have no problems. One trick is when you install it, and see the white screen, is do a battery pull at that time. When phone comes back up, it should work fine.
Also, i just read that a Foxfire mobile browser will be released in December, but not for BB.

I did the Opera download and it says it installed fine but I cannot find it to select it? All I show is BB, IE & Firefox? Shouldn't it be installed there? Is there someplace else I need to click to get it into my browser?

Ok I found it in my download folder and clicked it and all went fine, but it is still not going in to my Browser Icon. I guess this is a separate browser and uses its own Icon to use this browser? Also on Privacy settings I chose off for password, is that correct?

Now I have it working as a separate APP? How do you get it to close? The BB button will not close it, nor will the back button. I had to push the red phone button to turn it off.

Guys you need to remember Opera Mini 5 is a beta. There are going to be a few bugs and yes it is a third party application. The Blackberry Browser is going to be the default browser. Example being anything thing you download, link to etc., will use the BlackBerry if the Opera is not active. I don't think there is a setting yet to make Opera the default.
Don't get me wrong the Opera is a good fast browser for surfing. Hopefully sometime next summer a comparible browser to Iphones will be offered to models that will handle it after Blackberry purchased a company that makes this. Combine that with the Open GL (3D video etc.)and the future Blackberry devices will rock. I'm guessing the Storm 2 will be one phone that supports it.

I tried Opera on my Tour and did not like all the steps I had to go through to close it or change pages. Back when I had the Storm 9530 I used a different version and liked it fairly well. One nice feature was that I could bookmark websites on my desktop opera browser then sync it with the phones browser. As I said I did not like the version/interface on the Tour, so I tried the BOLT browser. Bolt works basically the same as Opera except you use the BB button to change pages, go to bookmarks, close the program etc.. I liked Bolt so much better I deleted Opera from my phone. Also I noticed in an earlier post someone mentioned closing Opera with the red phone button. I don't believe that closes the program. I think it is still running in the background. I don't have Opera on my phone so I can't look, but there is a button on their screen for tools or options. You have to click on it and close the browser from there. Hope that helps a little.

If you go to CrackBerry and type Bolt into the search box and hit enter, you will see Bolt 1.5 released. Click on that then at the bottom of the article click on download the latest version that will take you to their website and the link will be sent to your phone. I use it more than the BB Browser and have had good luck with it on my Tour. Please note that most of the functions are controlled with your BB Menu button. Good luck, let me know what you think.
