my verizon mobile 6.0 update

any reason the update gives you a second icon?  which one do you delete without removing the application?  one says "my verizon" and the other says "data usage" but they both start the same application.

I place the data usage one in a hidden folder with all the other pushed icons I don't want. I don't understand why there are two icons either.

Don't try to delete one as it will totally render the other one useless. They both when opened have the same info. So welcome to the world of redundancy!

Hi all,

I agree that it is redundant.  As LCromwell stated, do not delete either, as the program needs both to run.  You can highlight the icon with your trackpad and click the menu button and select "hide" and it will be hidden from view.  Hope that helps,

any clue as to when my verizon mobile will be updated FINALLY for the thunderbolt? this is a frustrating problem. it was great to use when i had my x. i've had the tbolt since april 1st and still no update for it.............

Thank you everyone for the information provided. We do not have an estimated time frame of when the My Verizon Mobile application will be available on the Thunderbolt. Once it is available, it will be available to download from the Droid Market. In the mean time, you may manage your account by visiting www.verizonwireless.com.
