new classic, fully charged, wont turn on
Mr_Ambrose
Newbie

Received new Classic, charged fully overnight.

Tried to start 3 times, but "Activating SIM Card" message kept repeating.

After reading the instructions (what a concept!) I finally turned it off and called 877-807-464,6 and was told ready to activate new phone.

Old phone is now de-activated, but new phone won't turn on.

I suggest going to your My Verizon page and switch devices to the new BlackBerry. Even if you're just re-entering the info, make sure it's all there and correct. You'll need the 16-digit SIM card ICCID number that's printed on the SIM card (in really tiny numbers). You might have to call Verizon and run through the info for the new Classic so a rep can enter it into the system from Verizon's end.

Mr_Ambrose,

We want to see you up & running on your device. Activations should be a fairly seamless change from one device to the other, apologes that it does not seem to be cooperating with you. The previous suggestion is a good step, is this still a lingering concern with your phone? Were you finally able to get it past that activations screen?
