Q10,
1. If I turn off my Mobile Network and just use Wi-Fi I don't believe I will incur any charges. Is this true?
I just want to get my e-mails and surf the web. No phone calls.

Hi,
On ANY smartphone, you can turn off Mobile Network and operate off just the WiFi. Just as you say, you can surf the web and get email. But, no phone calls or text messages.
Just curious, are you trying to save on data usage? There are a lot of ways to conserve data usage without turning off Mobile data.

The OP clearly states in their title this is for overseas use. So yes they would not want to rack up overpriced international data fees.
nanoman to be on the safe side put the phone in airplane mode.

Haha, sorry. I just saw your title to your post "Overseas Use." That explains your post. Sorry, I haven't had enough coffee.
