i am trying to do the "back-up assistance" on my desktop but i am sooo confused. can anyone help me please. my blackberry is slowing WAY down and i took it to the verizon store and the store manager told me to do a HARD RESET on it but in order for me to do that i need to back up evrything such as: my memo pad, password keeper, and task manager. I need that on my desktop and i have the 2 disks that came with my blackberry so i can transfer it all onto that, do my hard reset on my phone clean it up then download my memo-pad ect..
can someone help me before i pull my hair out do to being stressed out over this issue
One of those CD's should be the BlackBerry software "Desktop Manager" it will probably be an older version but install it anyway.
Once loaded it should put an icon on your desktop. Connect your phone with supplied USB cable and then run the Desktop Manager.
You will see an area labeled Backup/restore. Click there and this will take you to the backup area. You can do a total backup or click advanced and choose only what you want.
Hopefully this helps some.
