problem with my Blackberry storm 9530

I bought

    I have had problems with my blackberry storm at first my phone would charge to a full charge then when i would make a call it would completely die. When i plugged my phone into the charger a red light would come on then an hour glass would come on then the red led light would come on. so after several days of charging my phone i bought a new battery and it continues to do the same. Please i need my phone can anybody help.
