Can you save contacts in old phone before activating new one if old phone won't even power up?

Thanks for replying, although it's not very encouraging haha. Since your phone will power up, you might have luck with installing the "Device Switch" app on both old and new phones & going from there...

lisaazr,
We always want to make sure you can keep your files secure when making a change. If your phone powers on you can use our Verizon Cloud option http://vz.to/16bLoV6 but if the phone can't be powered on there isn't a way to do so. Do you know if you've backed them up in the past?

Thanks, but I just ended up using the device switch app from my old old phone & got the majority of them.
