sounds not working

I was trying to use a song as a tone for my messages. It let me for a few texts and then it quit working with a song. So i went to change it to one of the sounds that was already on the phone and it keeps saying "Invalid ring tone selected, please make another selection" with every single tone I select. I have no idea what to do to fix it. I haven't deleted any sounds and it was working just fine until I can't the sound last night. Then it worked a few times this morning and now nothing. IT will make a ding ding sound but I have no idea what sound it is. I can't seem to find it anywhere.

Hi,

Pull the battery and allow the device to reboot.  That should clear up your sound errors.

If that doesnt work, you may need to do a device wipe. Make sure you back up your contacts using blackberry desktop manager before the wipe.
