I desperately want to get the 1200 contacts that reside in Outlook, which now are available to me via a pop3 server, onto my new BB 8350.  The DeskTop BB manager tells me I need to turn off wireless synchronization, but I can't get any info on how to do this.  Any guidance?  -- thanks!

Another thought --  is there some way for me to export my contacts into Excel or equivalent, and then copy them into the blackberry?  thanks!

Are you set up by your employer/IT department on Blackberry Enterprise server? It sounds like it because your device is setup to wirelessy reconcile contacts and calendar information.

To turn off Wireless Synchronization, open your Contacts folder and press the Blackberry Menu button, select Options. Then select Default, which will take you to the Contact List Properties where you can turn off the Wireless Synchronizatio.n.  You can do the same thing for Messages and Calendar by going to the Options folder

Good morning -- your advice was helpful, in that I got to "turn wireless synchronization off" and did so.  However, going back to the Desktop manager and trying it again, it still told me that it was set for wireless and couldn't do it.

Another wrinkle is that this is NOT an employer's enterprise server, but rather Outlook supported on a pop3 server.  Would love your further help -- are you comfortable going to our own emails?
