Is it possible to elimate having to enter a password to retrieve voicemail? (I didn't need a password with AT&T)
Try this:
Press the Green Call/Send key or the Phone icon from the Home Screen
Press the Blackberry Menu Key
Press Options
Press Voice Mail
Enter your Password in the Password field.
Press Blackberry Menu Key and Press Save.
Or just use Visual Voicemail for $2.99. You only enter your password once when you set it up. You get your VM in your inbox, choose which ones to listen to, reply with voice mail or SMS, compose new voice mail and even forward VM to an email address -- all without ever having to call VM and waste precious time navigating through non-user friendly menus.
You can also do it as a speed dial. I'm not certaiin exactly how to set it up, as my tech person did it for me. But he did it so that the number 1 is voicemail, and then he entered a 3-second pause and put it my password. Works every time! I now just push the 1 key, wait a second and hear my voicemails.
Very cool!!!! I pushed the green phone button to bring up a list of phone calls made & received, press the BB menu key, choose options, click on voicemail. There is a field to enter your password. When you press 1 speed dial, it automatically adds a pause & enters your password. Thanks to HollyJ for the suggestion.
