GSM or CDMA?

I use the prepaid side of Verizon, so I purchase my phones unlocked.  I read that Verizon is doing away with the CDMA network this year.  In the past my phones had to have both GSM & CDMA.  Can I get phones that are only GSM now or does it still have to be CDMA?

As we build the future, 5G, we need to retire past technologies. If you are getting a new device, ensure it has GSM. We no longer support CDMA activation's.
