How do I delete email address not tied to contacts?

Alcatel GOFLIP V verizon phone - occasionally I misspell an email address, send it and it bounces, then I correct it and resend. But, when I try to send something another day to that same person, the 'hint' email address has both the correct email address and the misspelt one - how do I get rid of the wrong one?

We find consultations, we learn tricks with which we deceive ourselves, but the essential thing - the way - we do not find. Listen to the river...
