I am sorry it had taken so long to get your rebate. Our rebates are definitely not a scam, and I can help you resolve all of this. Please meet us in a Private Note, or contact us on our social media page on Facebook.com/Verizon or via Twitter @VZWSupport.

Relieved I'm not the only one scammed. Verizon ran a $400 per line promo to switch from another carrier all last summer. My wife and I switched in August. The rep who took me through the whole process on the phone supposedly completed everything and said we should get gift cards in mail in approximately 6 weeks. Fair enough. We waited but they never came. I called Verizon a couple of times, they said be patient. Finally today a very nice lady on the other end told me that we're out of luck because "unfortunately promo code was never submitted" and it cannot be submitted now because (of course) it expires after 30 days. I said that that made no sense, that the rep *said* that he did everything and that we should get gift cards in mail in 6 weeks, that we obvsly switched in large part because of the promo... Alas, she politely said there was nothing she could do and that "Verizon is not obviously going to give you $800." If I saw it in a movie, it would be comical. But maybe this type of customer service should come as no surprise from a company that deleted years of personal emails from my yahoo email address a couple of years ago (supposedly because the account was inactive for a year) without any notice. Anyway, fool me once... I'm done with Verizon and you should be too.

vpp210, we are saddened to hear you were not able to take advantage of the promotion mentioned. Certain promotions do have requirements, including submitting the appropriate promotional codes via our rebate website. The conditions and details of these promotions are always posted on our website while they are still valid.

Hey Joshua - your comment is both hurtful and offensive (you are "saddened?"). I clearly said that a Verizon sales rep assured me that he had done everything that needs to be done (I think that would include making three clicks to submit a promo code) in order for us to get the gift cards, AND said that we should expect them in mail in 6 weeks BUT apparently he lied. And of course, 6 weeks is longer than 30 days within which the promo code needs to be submitted. Not a clever scam, really, just a shameless clickbait.

You really need a hard stomach to be a Verizon rep, not everyone can do this for a living.

We understand the importance of your promotion going smoothly. The steps for your rebate would have also been found on your original order receipt or confirmation email. We're unable to submit the rebate on our end, as it has to be done by you after you activate your devices. Do you have your original order confirmation or receipt?

Same thing is happening to us.  We switched from AT&T and my order confirmation email says "This device is eligible for a $250 Switcher Rebate."  It also said the rebates must be submitted by 3/31/2021.  I submitted our rebates immediately after I placed the order on 1/1/2021.  I received an email on 1/13/2021 that said they were having trouble processing my rebate.  I contacted Verizon through the chat app, and the rep said I should re-submit the rebates.

We received our two new iPhone 12 pros on 1/12/2021 and activated them that day.

When I checked the status online through the rebate website using the tracking number, it said "We couldn't find your mobile number associated with this rebate."

I again contacted Verizon through the chat app today, and the rep could not tell me why the rebate was invalid.  She suggested I call the rebate center which I attempted, but there was no option to speak to a live rep.

This has been a horrible introduction to Verizon.  I was completely satisfied with my AT&T service, and now regret switching to Verizon to save a few hundred dollars.  Anyone reading this, please save yourself the grief and stick with your current provider.  It is not worth the trouble.  Verizon has committed fraud if they will not honor the rebates.

It now shows on the rebate status website I had to activate by 1/3/2021 in order to claim this rebate.  This was not possible since I did not receive the phones until 1/13/2021.

I am considering going back to AT&T.  This is ridiculous.

After resubmitting the rebates, once the phones were received and activated, it now says my two $250 switcher rebates are invalid because "This line was already processed through another submission."  Verizon is denying rebates, and there is no easy way to get an explanation or follow up with them.
