Verizon Reps lied to me about $250 rebate

on their page https://www.verizonwireless.com/bring-your-own-device/ it seems obvious that you can bring in your own phone and get a $250 rebate. They even have options on the same page to pick an unlimited or a shared plan. What they don't say and what's only in very fine print you have to click on to see is that the rebate is only for people switching to unlimited plans. While I was switching over, Verizon reps who could see my account said I would qualify and get the rebate even though I was switching to a shared data plan. They were either lying to me or didn't even know how the rebate worked, because a month later I was denied the rebate because it was only for unlimited plans. Nowhere in the process of applying for rebate or switching over was I told this was only for unlimited plans. Their advertising is completely misleading and should clearly show on the website that the rebate is only for those switching to unlimited plans.

dominic93, this is truly not the type of experience that we want you to have. We hope to regain your confidence in our service and support. To confirm, are you referring to the promotion on the following web page https://www.verizonwireless.com/bring-your-own-device/?

Were you talking to Verizon reps about moving your lines?  I ask because the web page you linked clearly says "Online only."
