Verizon operates in bad faith with BYOD Rebates

So I bought a new iPad from Apple and reading the small print I was eligible for a BYOD rebate  of $200 provided that I activated the device within 30 days which I did.  It didn't make clear that there would be a rebate form involved.  And when I received the emailed receipt for the activation there was no mention of the rebate.  After about 5-6 weeks I started to wonder about my rebate and I looked for additional emails and nothing had come in.  Then I looked at the attached PDF file with the receipt and buried in small print within the PDF file was a link to the rebate form.

It may be my fault that I didn't look at the PDF file more closely but it is REALLY shady that Verizon would bury something like that deep within an attached file and do absolutely nothing to bring it to your attention especially when the fine print on the offer makes it sound as if all that is necessary is activating your line within 30 days.  They do this because they know a high percentage of the people will do the exact same thing that I did and they will never have to fulfill their $200 obligation.

That is a really shyster-ish way of doing business.

Then their chat support tells you to call for a Credit & Order Review Specialist and it is almost impossible to get through to any live agent much less the Credit & Order Review Specialist.

Very very poor customer relations moves.

Same here.  Was told an email would come for the form… never did.  And stumbled on the small print on the electronic email attached the account and here I’m 30 days past.  Moved 3 iPads and a phone and now I’m so annoyed I’m ready to move back to Sprint.

The ticket was not related to the rebate.   I was told to submit a DM related to the rebate. I asked what I need to use to submit the DM and no one replied.  How do I do it?

I can tell how much you really care about this.  I sent a private message to vzw_customer_support over a week ago and I haven't gotten any reply.  Can't say that I am surprised.
