Me and my wife switched to Verizon after seeing an advertisement to receive $200 verizon gift card for switching networks. I spoke through a chat 2 weeks after switching and the representative said it would be in an email to me. It has been over a month and I have received no email about this. I believe I should be getting 2 $200 gift cards as it was BOTH MYSELF and MY WIFE who switched.

Over a month in limbo doesn't sound like a fun experience to me, jferris03010. I know I would be as upset if I had not yet received my rebate for switching as well. We would be happy to take a look into this. Please be on the lookout for a private note from us so we can better assist.

I have been trying to get my 200.00 rebates for 3 lines for months! We switched in January! I was given the number to the rebate center and was informed they have no record it was ever submitted! This is fraud!

In a similar situation.
A sales rep offered me a $200 gift card per line so I ported in 4 lines. I bought my devices with me. What confuses me is that I am getting different answers depending on which rep I speak to.
One rep says I will get an email within 3 weeks of activation with a promo code, another rep says my monthly bill will have a discount applied over the next 36 months. I don't know which rep to believe. Can anyone clear this up? How does the $200 gift card work? There was no promo code attached to my order.
I'm only a week into my service but it would be nice to get a clear answer. I've heard of so many people waiting weeks/months before chasing this up. I sent a PM to Verizon Community 5 days ago but still waiting on a response.

Hi there,
The same thing has happened to me.
I also was told that I would be eligible for the $200 Visa Gift Card when I switched my line from AT&T from the man at the Verizon Kiosk but have not received any email. When I talked to customer service they said to keep waiting for an email but no such email has come and these other messages have me worried it will never come.
The Verizon employee at the Kiosk told me I could find the rebate link on my Verizon website and apply that way but I cannot find it and customer service has not been helpful. Where can I get the $200 VISA gift card that I was promised when I made the switch?

I was informed I would receive a $200 Verizon Visa Gift Card per line I switched from AT&T (3 lines for a total of $600) but have not received any email. I purchased from a Verizon store and they told me I would get an email, but nothing. I receive other emails from Verizon. I stopped into another store while traveling and they said I should receive a promo code and link to a rebate site? I have been unable to reach the rep who helped me, but the local store told me to just keep waiting. I just do not want to let this lapse or find out I waited too long.
How do I get the $200 gift cards for each of the lines switched?

Hmack, it's great you could come over to us ๐ I'm sorry though you've been having trouble with that promotion. Could you give me some details about when you switched, the rough dates? That was I can try and locate the specific switching promotion and check on the details of how to apply for it and when.

Hello, birdie11. So sorry to hear of this, but help is here. Just to confirm, is this for Verizon Wireless or Verizon Fios? Also, did you redeem the offer via your My Verizon account?

The threads here move so fast, it's hard to keep track of them all. Wish the mods could "sticky" a thread so it stays on the top of the forum. Anyway, for everyone who has been having a problem getting the $200 switcher rebate to work, here's a thread with some tips:
I'm not a Verizon employee, just another customer trying to help.

After 10 or so 45+ min calls, I've been told that the plan was not eligible for the credit. It's unbelievable that we were sold a phone, with a new activation line added to our plan - with an unlimited plan and a scheme pulled on us. How are these business practices allowed?
It's quite simple, we add a new device, add an additional line within the promotion dates and the credit should be honored. To find out that this was not the case after several months is indeed fraud!
