200$ Gift Card per line ?

We have moved to Verizon with 8 lines in family in February and we had to go to a local store to do the process as per Online representative recommendation since there are 8 lines involved.  We were promised to receive 200$ gift card per line after 60 days in to our mailbox without any additional process needed on our end. We never received them and when we called Verizon to enquire about this, we were told that there needs to be a rebate form that must have been submitted within 60 days which was never informed to us by the store and so they have asked us to go sort this out with local store. When we go to local store, they said that they have already done all the process needed on their end and  gave a number saying that it is Verizon's Rebate department who can help resolve this issue. We called that number to find out that it is a Third party rebate company and they process requests only if Verizon submits it to them and they never received one for our line from Verizon and so check back with Verizon. I think that this must have been due to serious gaps in the store process which they don't want to admit or some greedy sales trick. Overall feels like cheated and waiting to get away from Verizon.
