$200 credit for switching line from another provider

I chatted with an online representative as I have not received the said $200 account credit for switching my two lines into Verizon from another provider. The language on the promo said "$200 credit applied to acct after 2-3 bills,"  so I waited but never got any statement credit. I even confirmed with a chat agent that i will be eligible for the promo. It was only when I reached out after not receiving any statement credit, I was told that it's actually a rebate that I need to claim within 30 days. However, I never got any communication regarding how to get the rebate, no notification, email, text, nothing. Chat agent directed me to the rebate team saying that can help but when I called, they said they can't help because they can't access my account. Given the original language and this entire process that didn't get me anywhere, would like to be able to connect with a service team or representative who can actually help.

Hello,

I am also having this issue - every time I ask a Verizon rep for my promo code for phones that my wife and I purchased on 1/18/2022, no one seems to know. They in-person rep at the Verizon store sold us these phones with a sales pitch that we would receive the $200 rebate so we could pay off the balance of our phones, which is due next week. I feel very misled during this entire process. I was also told that if we purchased the following, we’d get additional discounts - a new 3rd line (which never even worked) we would get an additional $10 off our monthly bill, and 2 hot spots would get us an additional $10 per month. We also just found out that Verizon added insurance on to our accounts as well even though we denied having this added once we initially signed up. Extremely frustrating process all together. Is someone able to help me obtain our rebate promo code for the phones we just purchased?

@BCHoffman4 ,

Making sure you get the right promotions that you qualify for will always be important, so thank you for sharing these details. You had said that you made your purchase at a store, where the store rep had claimed there was a promotion - have you visited the store since then to ask the rep about that offer? I ask because currently the only $200 switch promotion that we have requires you to port a line to Verizon and purchase a phone under a device payment (retail price $699.99 or higher), purchased online only. The promo code for that is 23SWITCHFOR200 . You are given this information through a My Verizon notification only if you qualify for it, as confirmed here: https://www.verizon.com/support/device-rebate-faqs/ . You'll also see in the same link how to redeem the rebate. As you had said you made your purchase at a store, it would be recommended to visit them, and the same rep that assisted you, as they may have a separate promotion from what we offer online.

Hi Russell! Thanks for the reply. Yes, I've been back to the store a few times to speak with the sales rep. He kept telling me to log into my verizon account/app and wait for the notification to pop up, which it never did. I will try the promotion code that you have provided. My wife and I joined out own verizon plan (i was an existing verizon customer and she was an AT&T customer). The sales rep told us to our face that we'd be getting a $200 credit to use towards our bill because my wife was switching from AT&T to verizon.

He also mentioned that if we added a 3rd phone number we would get an additional $10 off per month. This did not end up being the case and he removed the line just last week. I asked why we were getting charged an additional $81 for the line still, as it is being shown on our next bill. He said that will be canceled before our next payment. Our next payment is wednesday and the $81 is still showing on the bill. Any chance you have additional information on when the $81 will be eliminated from the next bill?

I was told that I would be getting 200 dollar rebates for each phone number that was brought over from AT&T. This was back in July and I still have not received my rebates yet. When will I be getting my rebates? I have tried to look it up and I can’t seem to find anything except for this forum.

Same here with same timeframe. Reps online have told me no such rebate ever existed.

I am having the same issue where I moved over 4 lines and was under the impression that the promo rebate credit of $200 for each line would be applied to my account and I would get notified when completed.  This is apparently not the case and I was never told that I needed to claim the rebate in a certain amount of time.  The online service rep is no help and this has now become very frustrating.  I am hoping someone from Verizon can help get this resolved.

There are no notifications in My Version to redeem rebate under the phone numbers brought over.  You send a message on how to redeem the rebate but there are no notifications out there.  I also have tried to find via transaction number and nothing as well.  Again, this is the most frustrating experience ever.  Please put the rebate notifications out there so I can redeem.

Hi,

I seen the link prior to the full transfer or switch. We purchased our phones on 11/19/23 and now the link is no longer to be found. I have the full statement here where it highlights the $200 switcher rebate. Please review and if someone could reach out and help us with that it would be greatly appreciated.

Hi,

I am having the same question / problem.  I bought my phone on 11/15 and ported my number shortly after receiving the phone in mail.  Since then I have not gotten any communication from verizon regarding to the port and rebate.  What is the next step?

I am having the same issue, and I am being told because I didn't reach out sooner, there is nothing that can be done.  I feel like this is false advertising.  The rep didn't tell me I needed to be on the lookout for a rebate or anything in my email, he just told me it would show up as a credit on my account and nothing has posted.  I never received anything in my email that stated I needed to do anything further.
