$500 BYOD Rebate not honored by Verizon

I brought over two devices and signed up for Verizon in October of 2022 because of the BYOD promotion that was running at the time for $500 / Device.  My devices were a new Samsung Ultra 22 and a Pixel 6 pro, both were qualified devices (which I had to pay off to bring over to VZ) and are set up on the expensive Unlimited plans.  I was told to wait for 3 billing cycles and then I would receive the digital gift cards ($1K total) in my email.  I never received an email about them, went into a location to talk to them about it and they said to contact customer service.  I was told they are on the way.

I contacted an online rep on 02/24/03 of 2023 and was told there was some issue but they were re-submitting the rebate or fixing it somehow and I would receive the two gift cards in 7-8 weeks (4/14-4/21).

Nothing came, I contacted online support via chat again on 5/17/23, and was reassured multiple times that the issue was fixed, and I would for certain receive the gift cards on 5/25/23.  I thought it strange to be given a specific date but now it is 5/31/23 and still nothing so I contacted online support again.

Today, the rep told me that the initial gift cards were sent to me when the service was initially set up and are now expired. They confirmed my email address, I do receive all other verizon emails about my bill and service etc but nothing about rebates yet.  The rep today told me I needed to contact the rebate center at {edited}.

I call the rebate center while still in the chat online with the rep.  The rebate center guy "Mike" told me there was never a rebate submitted to me and that is not a promotion that they are using.  He wanted to transfer me to a customer service rep, I explained I was online with one already, that they are now telling me that the rebate was sent to my email, which Mike says is not the case.  He then abrubtly disconnected the call with me.

I asked the chat rep if there is an escalation team or someone I can talk to about this issue who is willing to help me and they then disconnected the chat as well.  It looks like Verizon is not going to honor their promise of $1K in gift cards for bringing my devices over.  I am frustrated and disappointed and so tired of spending hours trying to talk to reps who are unable or unwilling to help me figure out what to do.  I'm posting this year to see if anyone in the community has any experience on resolving this type of issue, or on the long shot that someone at Verizon will help me.

I highly recommend that anyone looking at switching services to take advantage of the bring-your-device rebates that Verizon offers should assume that you will not get the rebate and instead look at plans and services etc only to make your decision.
