I am SO disappointed in Verizon customer service. I joined Verizon with the promo for 500$ gift card when you add a new line. I chatted with an agent before purchasing to be clear I knew what I was doing and not once was it ever mentioned to me that I would need to fill out a rebate form. Verizon never notified me as they are supposed to that the promo was available. I got no information on this process except that it could take 8 weeks. Now Verizon is refusing to honor the terms because I am outside of the 30 day period - WHICH I WAS NEVER MADE AWARE OF. While chatting with an agent I kept being offered worse deals that included what essentially amounts to a 3 year contract. This is ridiculous. Verizon never sent me instructions for the rebate nor did they send a notification for the promo on my new line. Why am I paying for Verizon dropping the ball??

The family plan that I joined has been loyal to Verizon for 20 years. They are now looking at other carriers after hours working on this with no solution.
