I recently brought several lines to Verizon from Sprint.
I did so with the understanding that there would be a $300 rebate associated with each phone that I brought.
I used the promo code BYOD300.
As I completed this process I confirmed with Reps both on the phone, and the online chat, that I would be receiving these rebates.
I recently attempted to check the status of the rebates, and was informed that the unlimited plan that I signed up for was not eligible. They tried to hold me hostage, telling me that i would not receive them without upgrading my plan.
I reaffirmed that the start unlimited plan was eligible for the rebates with a representative over chat.
I would like for a customer service representative to reach out to me, and to ensure that this rebate is applied. If it is not, be assured that I will take my business elsewhere.
I am in a similar situation.
Resubmitted my rebate case twice, they are saying they can't find my number or account under Verizon, so they are not honoring the rebate deal. Well, guess what, I've been paying Verizon for 5 months. (Am I a joke to Verizon?)
For anyone considering bringing your own device to Verizon because of the rebate deal, it's just not worth it.
When asked, how an individual could verify whether or not the account was eligible they admit, that it is only through their representatives. So if a representative tells me it is eligible, i expect it to be eligible.
I just posted this in another forum. I’m urging everyone this happened to, to report it to Better Business Bureau. I was gonna chock it up to some weird error bc it happened to me and my family. Now I think its def a scam!
Hey I have the same prob. This is really frustrating to say the least. If we could altogether do something about this> I am sure we're not the only ones --there are a lot more,
This happened to me too I've spent hours on the phone and online chat, Verizon used to be fantastic with responsiveness and reliability I'm so frustrated and disappointed. And the rebate program is so disjointed it's administered separately somehow so they act as if it's out of their hands but validation was in connection with my Verizon account and calls constantly refer back to Verizon.
Yes, thank you. It was a STARTBYOD $250 online/telesale rebate for an order placed 10/27/20. I was given a link through text to submit for the rebate by the online tech specialist and submitted it with the first day or two of the order - I have an email from yourverion[email address removed per the Verizon Terms of Service] from 10/29/20 confirming my submission with a link to complete. At the time the link in the email took me to the Verizon page to confirm, and once confirmed it indicated the line had to be active for 30 days before the rebate/tracking id would be issued. I checked on it once while paying a bill but otherwise I didn't think much about it until the beginning of December when that period would have been up. I couldn't find information in my Verizon account anymore for the tracking and when I went back to the confirmation email to click through it took me back to Verizon to a submission page and when I entered my information it said there was no record. The link expired and now there is no tracking # or indication of the rebate. I thought it might have cleared/been sent so I tried online chat several times but after auto-response/waiting and not getting through tried calling customer service and this has been where I have had several phone numbers to bounce around through and waiting over 20-30 minutes and being told that either the rebate # will handle it or Verizon needs to handle it. I've been given #s/tried to resolve with 800-922-0204, 877-899-8980 and 1-800-837-4966 and each time it takes at least 20 minutes and then I'm given a different number or told there is nothing they can do/I must have not submitted and that it's expired and that they can't do anything. If you can provide any help I'd appreciate it. I submitted an undelivered rebate card inquiry but they indicated they didn't see any rebate issued.
