Bit of a confusing device credit/port question

I’d like to get a bit of clarity on a situation. Last month I started a new account with the pixel fold promo on a new number to get the $25 off with the unlimited ultra plan. Now I’m wondering if I was to port my main number from T-Mobile over this number and switch the device on the account to an iPhone 15 Pro Max that I have already paid off, would I lose the $25 credit for the device?

Great questions. The port in process would be considered a mobile number change and this would not impact your promotion. Additionally, typically changing the active device on a line also does not impact a promotional offer. We can send you a private message so that we can access your account and review your specific details so that you can ensure what changes may/may not impact your account and promotion.

I am respectfully disagreeing.

From what I'm reading, the Pixel phone is under some kind of device contract where the OP is receiving monthly credits for the Pixel.  Based upon what I've read in the forums, a device deal is tied to that one device only.  One cannot transfer such a deal to some other device.  If some other device is activated on the line in question, replacing whatever was on the deal, then all the credits will stop - and one may also be forced to immediately pay off the device which was tied to the deal because it is considered breaking a contract.

If the OP wishes to port in a second line using their paid off iPhone 15 PM as a BYOD, I'd say to keep that line a different number so as not to mess up their Pixel deal.  They should be getting a multi-line discount if both lines are under one account anyway.
