New Iphone SE with new prepaid line not showing up on account

I ordered a new iphone SE and added a line on my previously existing prepaid account. The phone came but the line or phone is no where to be found on my account and phone does not have service. There is no sim card to activate either. Stuck at how to get phone active and the payment I made for the service for new line is showing as a credit on my account to be applied to my next bill. Please help!
