Brought 5 phones over to Verizon in September 2022. Was told we'd received $200 per phone ($1,000) in gift cards in the mail within the next 2-3 months. Started calling at month three wondering where my giftcards were. Waited on hold for over 1.5 hours to be transferred to 3 different departments and then back to the original department I contacted. Ended up calling the store we bought the phones from and they indicated they couldn't do anything...they were under new management. Told them that was not OK. Went to a different store yesterday and was told Verizon doesn't send giftcards in the mail and there was a rebate process. The gentleman gave me the process of how to file for this rebate but it doesn't recognize the rebate code because it goes back to September 2022. I was NEVER told I had to complete any type of rebate form to begin with. Again, I was told..."JUST BE PATIENT, THE GIFTCARDS WILL COME IN THE MAIL". Trying to get $1000 in giftcards or rebates has been a nightmare. Any suggestions? I was sold a complete lie. How is this legal?
