Account Access, Text Messages, Site navigation.... Can you make it more difficult?

I only have a Data Plan. It was through Alltel but now by default I get Verizon. I'm trying to setup an online account so I can see what my data usage is month to month. The problems I've experienced so far..

Tried to setup account and it sends out a text message (which I don't have a phone to receive)

Tried again and it says account already setup and had to try and reset password. It sends out a text message (again can't recieve on a data card)

Found out after navigating this maze of a website for an hour that I have to have software installed on my computer to recieve text messages.

I go to download and it asks for my modem which is not on the list. I have an Alltel modem. .

What version of the software do I download for a HUAWEI EC228 USB modem?

http://software.alltel.com/ Your device is not supported by vz access manager. If it were, the latest software is at: http://www.vzam.net/download/supported.aspx

You can also call customer service and they can send a temporary password letter through the mail, but then you have to wait for it to arrive via regular mail!
