I just bought a Casio Ravine 2 for normal phone use but also to use when I travel to connect my laptop to the internet. I had been using a Razr V3M which worked fine but I wanted to upgrade. The Ravine 2 is supposed to tether okay. However, after installing VZ Access Manager, it appears that there are no drivers yet for the Ravine 2. It is looking for a Casio C781 USB Modem driver which does not appear to exist yet. I have looked all over the internet and other sites, but cannot find a solution to make the tether work between my laptop and handset. I am using a Dell Studio with Windows 7 pro 64 bit edition. Any help would be appreciated.
Here is an update on my original posting. Verizon tech support is involved and they started looking at it last Thursday. I received a call this weekend from them indicating that they had not forgotten about me and are still working on the problem. It seems my original thoughts may be correct, there is no usb modem driver yet for the C781 Ravine 2. I certainly hope someone comes up with something since I was told that using this phone as a USB modem would work just fine.
