Hello!

When I sign on to check my E-mail and vist 1 or 2 websites I usually use 1 to 2 MB but the last few days I have been using 40-100+ MB while checking the same E-mail account and visiting the same websites. Why the big difference? Thanks!!

It sounds to me like a program is updating in the background.  Windows and anti-virus programs will "auto update" and sometimes even install without asking the user.  Also, any new P2P file sharing programs that load and run on startup will transfer excessive data sometimes with no warning.

If you need to get updates and are worried about useage, turn off the auto updates and use a wired connectiion or WiFi hotspot to manually get the updates.

But once the downloads are installed, you should be fine.
