A friend of mine wants to get a fast desktop to replace her old laptop for in-home use. She's using a USB card to connect to Verizon with her laptop. Will this USB card work on the desktop by plugging it into the desktop's USB port? Or will she need to get something else from Verizon to work with the desktop to get her on the internet? If so what?

It should work if it's in a good location to receive the signal.

Yes it will work, but you'll need to install the VZ Access Manager software onto the desktop first. If you don't have the disc anymore, the software can be downloaded online from www.vzam.net or you can bring a USB storage device to a store and we can download it for you.
