I've a quick recommendation for anyone planning to add the Verizon Wireless Boardband card when purchasing a laptop.
DON'T
Based on Verison literature I thought I'd be able to sign up for an approach of logging on for a single day or two or three at a time, at a price of $15, for those circumstances when a hotel or other work location didn't have adequate Internet (away from home and office).
They've dropped that plan, in favor of $60/month for VERY, VERY LIMITED SERVICE. Much more money for more.
Save your money, and go to something like TrueMobile. Or Sprint. Or whatever. Just not Verizon Mobile Broadband.

Um, not true; Verizon offers prepaid broadband plans. You can pay $15 for 75 MB or 24 hrs, $30 for 250 MB or 1 week, or $50 for 500 MB or 1 month. You might pay more for the card itself, but these options should suit you fine.
