Dell notebook won't detect wireless MiFi 2200

We just purchased the MiFi 2200. I have it hooked up through USB on my desktop running Windows Vista. Everything works great on my desktop, but my husbands Dell 1525 notebook also running Windows Vista will not detect the MiFi wireless connection. My husband's laptop doesn't have a problem connecting with any other networks except the MiFi. This was the whole reason we purchased the MiFi... so that we could share a connection. Any suggestions?

Thanks in advance for the help.

Thanks so much for the help. I called Verizon and apparently you can't have it hooked up through USB to one computer and wireless on the other. I had to unplug it from my desktop to get the laptop to detect it. He said I would have to get a wireless adapter for my desktop in order to use the internet on both computers at the same time. Kinda messed up if you ask me. They never mentioned anything to us about having to buy an adapter for my desktop to be able to use it on both computers at the same time when purchasing it. :smileymad:

I dont know a ton about the mifi option, however you do have the mifi setup to accept multiple people on it correct? Not just locked down to one. Second hook the mifi direcly up to the laptop leave your desktop out see if you can get it to connect. You know the desttop works so try solo on the laptop see if you can get to work if you cant Contact Verizon they have a mifi team that can help you with that.
