Detecting Devices

Just downloaded the latest VZ for my new Lenovo system. I installed the software and everything seemed normal. I inserted the Pantech UB 150 and it detected and installed drivers. I ran VZ Access Manager and the thing as been sitting at "Detecting Devices" for over twenty minutes.

I tried removing the device, re-inserting, shutting down VZ. No luck.

Any ideas?

I had a similar symptom with my Dell system under Vista and a MiFi 2200.  I worked around it by disabling the emulated CD-ROM drive provided by the MiFi.  I think I had to temporarily disable the emulated CD-ROM  drive in Windows Device Manager before VZAccess would connect enough to allow me to disable it in the VZAccess settings.

I have no idea why this helped my situation.  It was just one of the many things I tried.  The problem comes back if I reenable the drive.
