Error 913 on Mac with USB 727 modem

Most of the time when I try to connect with the USB 737 modem and VZ Access manager I get the Error 913 message, which says VZAccess Manager is unable to connect at this time. Please try connecting later.  I followed these instructions for several months and almost always I could connect on the second attempt. A bit of a pain, but since things worked on the second attempt, I didn't worry about it.

Then one day when I got the error message, my mail program beeped indicating new email.  It looked like in spite of the error message that I was connected. And indeed I was -- as demonstrated by my ability to send and receive email and to surf the web.

So now I just ignore the error message.  I am careful not to click OK to acknowledge the error message because if I do, the VZManager will disconnect me from the network. I leave the error message window as is or  I send to the dock (minimize) the VZmanager  window.

It appear that the error message is a software issue with the VZmanager. I wonder if I am up-to-date with the VZmanager, and if not where I can get the most up-to-date version.

You might try downloading the latest version for the 727. I think it will ask for your modem number and will install a icon on UR deaktop which one can put in their dock.

Error 913 is actually an authentication problem with the network. You can try and upgrade the software, but call support and let them know if you get the error and have problems connecting to the network.
