Excessive Data Usage

I've just checked my data manager, and it's saying that I've used 2.5GB of data today alone. I don't understand this, since I've had cellular data turned off since Friday. It's now Sunday.
I've also had to increase my data usage every month, since I seem to be using data at an astronomical rate. I'm not sure how this is possible, since I turn off cellular data from about 5pm-9am M-F, and all during the weekend. When I do have cellular data on, I am almost never streaming music or watching videos.
Is anyone else having this problem? If so, is there a way to fix this? I'm getting incredibly frustrated with Verizon, and feel like they're just milking me for money at this point.
