I signed up for the verizon mifi hotspot when I signed up for my new phone plan. The store rep convinced me to get the mifi hotspot instead of staying with my cable provider. There are only two people in the household that actually use the internet and we don't watch videos or download much. Our data seems to be used up in a week and we are on the 5g plan! How is this happening?I would cancel except for the huge cancellation fee.I see others on the forums saying that it is not meant to replace home internet but that is not what was told to me at the verizon store! We are getting charged twice as much without even getting unlimited data like the cable company! The only solution they give is to upgrade to paying 70 bucks for 10g which does not help the situation.Verizon is a bunch of liars that will give untrue information on their packages just to push the sell!I am so unhappy and feel swindled out of my hard earned money.

5 GB is nothing. And of course they would try to sell you their service, that's their job. I keep saying this but I will repeat this. IF YOU HAVE ACCESS TO REAL INTERNET LIKE CABLE AND DSL DO NOT GET MOBILE DATA.

Now while I despise tactics like that I will say it's ultimately up to to consumer to do the fact checking. No one forced you to say yes and if you had done your homework you wouldn't be in this situation. The fact is whenever you walk into ANY retail establishment that has sales people their job is not to be your friend. Their job is to make as much money form you as possible. HERE'S A TIP: Whenever you walk into a store and a salesperson says "Can I help you" assume they are there to help THEMSELVES. And act accordingly.
