Firmware Update changed my USB 720 Novatel Ovation to a Novatel Merlin and may have trashed it.

I updated Access Manager. Then there was a firmware update offered by SmithMicro for the USB 720. I said OK, but after this my USB 720 wouldn't work.

Very possible the firmware update was unsuccessful which would brick the modem just like it would brick a phone. Solution is to call in for a replacement.
