We have had the 5spot for about a month now, maybe 3 weeks, and yesterday it said there was a software update. I installed it, but about halfway through it asked for some disk that I didn't get with the 5spot, and it cancelled the download when I didn't have it. After that, the 5spot shut off. I turned it on later and the last 4 digits of ssid, which used to be "Verizon ac30 77CD" are now "Verizon ac30 0000" and the password will not work to get on it. Is there a way I can have this fixed without spending hours on the phone with customer service? Thanks for your help in advance.

It sounds like you pulled a bad firmware update and bricked your device.
Your only hopes of repair are to download the firmware update to your computer and try to install it from there. Otherwise you will have to bring it into a VZW store or call it in for replacement under the warranty plan.
