How do I connect a Verizon 4510L to a home Wifi Network?

I have a new Novotel mifi4510L and a Cradlepoint MBR90.

How can I make that combination work?  Or can I?

I think what I am trying to do is tether the mifi to the cradlepoint and use it as a modem only.  I need the cradlepoint network because my Sonos music network is on it also..

I was using the cradlepoint with a USB Verizon modem and the modem died.

I would like to not have to buy new hardware if not necessary.

No.

You will not be able to get this connection to work for two reasons:

1. The MBR90 is not a wireless repeater.  It can only take in Ethernet cable or USB internet connections and rebroadcast them.

2. The MiFi 4510L is wireless only.  The USB cable is used for charging and firmware updates only.  It is not possible to turn your 4510L into a USB modem.

Now that Verizon has swapped your USB modem with a Mifi you will need to update your CradlePoint to a more conventional wireless repeater.  There are a variety of them available and they do not need to come from Verizon.  Just search around for terms like "Network Extender" , "Range Extender" or "Wireless Repeater" and you should be able to find something that is compatible with the MiFi.

The correct setup will look like this when you are done:

Internet )))))) MiFi ))))))) Repeater )))))))) Computer/Devices

))))) = Wireless

You mentioned the MBR90

Do you mean the MBR900? or MBR95

If its the MBR900 No you cannot

If its the MBR95 yes you can via wifi as WAN

It is an MBR90. It is discontinued now. But it still works good.

Guess ill buy a repeater with 3 or 4 wire ports. That's what I need to connect Sonos and other PC
