How much bandwith does this use I have sattlelite internet and now I have suddenly started sucking up data after I started using the extender.

So in a typical day how much data will be used by this device? No one told me it took an internet connection to work, I get 10 GB a month of data. previous to installing my monthly data was about 20% Monday I installed it and now my data usage is at over 70% I am less than half way thru the billing cycle at this point I would normally be at 40% or less. If this product is going to suck up my available data it is worthless to me and I may as well send it back. Once again Verizon has led me to a black hole that I send money too.
