LTE Internet Installed + Bridge Mode?

Hello,

We are in need of Verizon's LTE internet service for one of our offices. We are waiting for fiber to be installed but need internet ASAP. Would we be able to bridge the device provided with the LTE Installed service so we can use our own firewall?

This is the service we are referring to: Verizon Wireless - Explore - LTE Internet (Installed)

I tried calling Verizon's sales department but no one knew the answer to this...

Thanks in advance!

I would think you would be able to use the LTE Installed as the "modem" and take a CAT 5e or 6 cable from it and connect it to your preferred method of routing the Internet to the computers and devices with a Wi-Fi router or Bridge device.

I'm most definitely NOT a VZW employee. If a post answered your question, please mark it as the answer.

Create a Network Bridge in Windows

To create a Network Bridge, you must select at least two LAN or High-Speed Internet connections, that are not being used by Internet Connection Sharing. Select two or more network connection that you want to add to the bridge. As an example, I have selected randomly any two, in the image above.

Right-click on any one of the selected network connections and select Bridge Connections.

You will see a message:

Please wait while Windows bridges the connection.

Once done, the Network Bridge will be created.

If I understand your question, you're asking if the LTEII system has bridge mode, effectively turning the LTEII system into modem only.  NO! It doesn't not have bridge mode.

However, you can simulate it by putting the IP address the LTEII router assigns to your firewall in to the LTEII router's DMZ which will bypass the LTEII router's internal firewall. If your firewall provides a DHCP Server then it needs to be on a subnet that does not conflict with the LTEII router on 192.168.1.x.

For more installation is the HBR's user manual.
