May I have a copy of source code for the GPL binaries in the Jetpack MiFi 5510L software?

I have recently logged into the Linux distribution embedded inside my Jetpack MiFi 5510L and found some really interesting bits.

It's an ancient Linux  busybox, and quite a few other GPL tools tools.

It's an ARMv7 processor with 160mb of mmc and 48mb of memory.

(Jetpack MiFi 5510L /proc/config.gz)

[hh@mba ~]$ ssh root@10.20.30.1

BusyBox v1.18.5 (2013-12-12 13:47:30 PST) built-in shell (ash)

Enter 'help' for a list of built-in commands.

Interesting stuff, a little over my head though : /

I am not aware of any sharable resources for the content you have requested.  My best guess is that the source code is not publicly available and the mods/volunteers wouldn't have permissions to them anyways.  Your best bet would be to either contact the manufacturer or VZW directly and try your same request.  If you manage to get your hands on what you need then post back and let us know what you had to do so others can attempt the same steps.

Far be it for me to offer words of encouragement or discouragement in such matters, but I don’t see Verizon Wireless giving out this information! Simply put, the GNU/GPL does not trump the security of the telephone company.
