I just reactivated a mifi that I haven't used in years and don't remember the security key/password. How do I create a password in my mifi?

There's a lot of different MiFi's, from one's that are just a USB stick to the Jetpack's with LCD screens. Do you know the model of yours? If it has an LCD screen, you should be able to navigate to a Wi-Fi Name/Password screen from the main menu. That's also the admin PW. Once you connect a device, you can go to http://my.jetpack on the device and login to change it.
