I was just sent a letter informing me that my "discount" was offered to me in "error" and that it would be discontinued within the next few billing cycles.
This sounds like a "bait and switch" scheme to me. I was "hard sold" on getting the new device and effectively eliminated my "unlimited" data package when I switched. They told me that I would only have to pay $39.50 per month rather than the $50.00 per month on this new device. Now they tell me the discount was a mistake?

I can only offer sympathy and say that it's typical of Verizon. You can try writing or emailing the CEO; I've gotten some satisfaction that way in the past. And yes, I had a similar experience with FiOS service.
