Has anyone done speed checks with mifi against a usb modem. My Cradle point with UM175 speed kills my Mifi speeds about 2 to 1. My 3G phone speed is also about 2 times faster than a Mifi speed. Any observations?
I have had the same setup with a Cradlepoint and have also been trying the MiFi 2200 with the same result. The MiFi is considerably slower. Not anywhere near the advertised speeds for Verizons broadband network of at least 600. I think I am going back to the Cradlepoint before the trial period runs out.
tether the mifi to the cradlepoint, you can change some settings in the cradlepoint to help with the speed issues
If you dont have a cradlepoint Get a wireless router from CradlePoint I got mine from here http://www.3gstore.com/cradlepoint YOU weill get tech support for your gaming plus they have an evdo gaming guide, and other guides for free that will help you with the tweaking of your rotuer, with a router you will only need to setup the wireless connection once and any user on any computer, xbox, playstation 3, or Nintendo Wii can connect via wifi or ethernet.
